Art Relief International

My first week at ARI is done. I have had some difficulties being able to work and open up due to some things that a practicum instructor had said to me once. It's still a little voice at the back of my head telling me that I'll be an adequate teachers assistant. Ugh-too bad for that person I am much more than that. With some encouragement from friends, family, and my wonderful supervisor I think that, yes, I am much more than that. I am doing my best to forget what she said and be better than that. I am a social worker, I am volunteering for a NGO abroad and doing something that I LOVE-art.

I love that as I am writing this I can hear the band playing at the bar close by-"what does the fox say" I am so happy right now!
